Inspired by Starbucks, this homemade iced pumpkin spice latte is creamy pumpkiny deliciousness. It’s a healthier option, way more affordable, and easy to make.
Why I love pumpkins:
I love pumpkin season (Mid~September to November), and I enjoy using pumpkins in my recipes.
Pumpkins are highly nutritious and are rich in vitamins and minerals. I also find them delicious.
If you are like me and love pumpkins, you will definitely enjoy this iced pumpkin spice latte recipe. To make it healthier, I did a vegan version by using almond milk and coconut whipped cream.
Just 5 simple ingredients:
Coffee – There are plenty of coffees you can use. For my version, I used chilled fresh brewed coffee. But you can go for espresso, cold brew, store bought, or, you can use your favorite chai tea, etc. The options are endless.
Milk – As with coffee, you can use any of your favorite milks. I prefer almond milk. But you can go for regular milk, oat milk, coconut milk, etc.
Pumpkin purée – this is the magic that makes this coffee special. It adds that cozy fall flavor and creaminess. I used my homemade puree, but you can use a store-boughtversion.
Maple syrup – Beautiful maple leaves remind me off fall so I decided to go for it. You can also use honey, agave or any sweetener you love.
Pumpkin pie spice – My version is a mix of my favorite spices: cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and ginger. I love this combination and I think it should be used year-round and sprinkled on everything.
Optional whipped cream – I used coconut whipped cream. You can use your favorite.
How to make iced pumpkin spice latte:
Making ice pumpkin spice late is very simply. For my version I used a blender to mix all the ingredients except the coffee. Then, I poured the blended pumpkin milk over the ice and added chilled coffee.
You can also whisk all the ingredients for pumpkin milk with a frother whisk or a hand mixer.
The options for this coffee are endless and you can make your own. It is more affordable than store bought coffee and, in my opinion, it’s more delicious.
